The 2025 MotoGP season is set to begin in Thailand at the end of February, but the excitement is already building as the series prepares for a month-long presence in the country. While teams have already revealed their liveries for the upcoming campaign, the event will focus on engaging with Thai fans and showcasing the sport’s star power.
The launch festivities began with all 11 teams and their riders participating in a parade through the streets of Bangkok. The bikes arrived in style, transported on tuk-tuks, adding a local flavour to the event. The parade culminated at a temple, where the bikes were displayed for a photo session before riders headed to the Ritz-Carlton for interviews.

The highlight of the day was the street and stage show at ONE Bangkok, where riders took their bikes for a lap around the block before making a grand entrance into the main venue. The brief was simple: make as much noise and create as much excitement as possible. Monster Energy Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo certainly delivered, performing multiple burnouts to the delight of the crowd.
However, not all riders were able to attend. Reigning world champion Jorge Martín, who underwent surgery for fractures sustained in a crash during the Sepang test, was notably absent. VR46’s Fabio Di Giannantonio and Trackhouse Racing’s Raul Fernandez also missed the event due to injuries suffered in pre-season testing.

The Bangkok launch sets the stage for the final pre-season test at the Buriram Circuit on February 12-13, followed by the season opener at the same venue from February 28 to March 2, before the campaign begins at the circuit on 28 February to 2 March.
The event not only highlights MotoGP’s growing popularity in Thailand but also builds anticipation for what promises to be an exhilarating 2025 season. Fans can expect fierce competition, thrilling races, and the continued evolution of the sport as MotoGP continues to expand its global footprint.
