KTM has officially launched the 2025 edition of the 250 Adventure in India, introducing a major revamp that promises an enhanced riding experience. This latest iteration of the quarter-litre adventure motorcycle features comprehensive upgrades in its underpinnings, features, and powertrain.
The new KTM 250 Adventure is powered by a newly developed 249cc, liquid-cooled, LC4c motor derived from the latest 250 Duke. The engine features a single overhead camshaft cylinder head and a larger airbox, optimizing low-end power delivery. It generates 30.5bhp and 25Nm of peak torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox.
Taking design cues from the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure, the 250 Adventure receives a complete styling overhaul. The motorcycle now boasts a semi-fairing design, a tall visor, underbelly exhaust and a rally tower-style TFT console, giving it a more aggressive and functional adventure-ready appearance.
The new 250 Adventure also rides on a redesigned trellis frame with a separate sub-frame, offering improved ergonomics and handling. Unlike its predecessor, the updated chassis lowers the saddle height while increasing suspension travel. The frame is supported by WP Apex USD front forks and an offset monoshock at the rear, providing 200mm of travel at the front and 205mm.
KTM has equipped the 2025 250 Adventure with a host of modern features. The motorcycle now comes with full LED illumination, including a projector LED headlamp, ride-by-wire throttle, a bi-directional quickshifter, off-road ABS, and a slipper clutch.
A five-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity allows for turn-by-turn navigation, music playback, and call management, enhancing convenience and functionality for riders. The front and rear tyre sizes remain unchanged at 19 and 17, respectively.
The big question remains: will the new KTM 250 Adventure make its way to Malaysia? It has been a long time since the country received an updated version of this model, and many enthusiasts are eager for its arrival.
However, with the growing dominance of Chinese motorcycle manufacturers in the local market, it remains to be seen whether the new KTM 250 Adventure can achieve the same level of success as its predecessors. Stay tuned for further updates on its potential Malaysian debut.
