Bagnaia Tops Misano Test, Bastianini Third for Ducati

After a thrilling San Marino Grand Prix at Misano, Ducati riders Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini returned for testing. The Ducati Lenovo Team tested on the same track to prepare for the next race. Bagnaia finished second, and Bastianini took third in the race.

Both riders began testing at 11:00 AM, waiting for optimal track conditions. Overnight rain affected the asphalt, but it dried in time. Bagnaia focused on refining the bike’s setup and electronics. This was crucial for improving next year’s model. Bastianini concentrated on aerodynamics and tyre performance, preparing for the Emilia-Romagna GP.

Bagnaia Leads the Day
Francesco Bagnaia completed 51 laps with a fastest time of 1:30.619. He tested new electronics and the GP24 setup. His goal was to improve consistency and overall performance. Bagnaia also tested the new Michelin tyre, which provided positive feedback. “I believe we’re on the right path,” Bagnaia said.

Bastianini’s Focus on Comfort
Enea Bastianini completed 49 laps, securing third place with a time of 1:30.985. He focused on aerodynamics and improving his feeling with the medium rear tyre. Bastianini said he was comfortable with the new setup. He also tested the Michelin tyre, adjusting quickly to its characteristics. “I’m happy and ready for the next race at Misano,” Bastianini added.

Looking Forward to Emilia-Romagna GP
With the Misano test completed, both riders now focus on the next challenge. The Ducati Lenovo Team will race again at Misano on September 20-22. Bagnaia and Bastianini hope to use their test gains for stronger results in the Emilia-Romagna GP.
