Trackhouse Racing MotoGP has confirmed that Japanese Moto2 star Ai Ogura will join their lineup for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, partnering with current rider Raul Fernandez.

Both riders will race on factory-spec Aprilia RS-GP motorcycles, solidifying Trackhouse’s position as a formidable force in the MotoGP World Championship.

Ai Ogura, 23, hailing from Kiyose, Japan, has quickly climbed the ranks in motorcycle racing. Currently, he is challenging for the Moto2 World Championship, sitting in 2nd place with two wins this season.

His consistent progress, particularly his performance with the MT Helmets MSI Moto2 team, caught the attention of Trackhouse Racing’s Team Principal, Davide Brivio, and Team Owner, Justin Marks.

Ogura’s signing aligns with Justin Marks’ vision to position Trackhouse Racing as a premier destination for emerging talent and to build a team capable of achieving success on the global stage.

His partnership with Raul Fernandez, both riding identical bikes to those of the Aprilia Racing team, ensures that Trackhouse Racing will be a competitive presence in MotoGP over the next two seasons.

Ai Ogura expressed his excitement about joining Trackhouse Racing, saying, “This is the dream! The final step to take. MotoGP is the maximum level you can have, so I’m obviously really happy to make it there. I’m very happy to be able to race in the top class and I can’t wait to do it together with Trackhouse Racing MotoGP Team.”

Davide Brivio, Team Principal of Trackhouse Racing, welcomed Ogura, highlighting his potential and the team’s commitment to developing his talent. Brivio stated, “With Raul as the young but experienced rider and Ai as the new growing talent, Trackhouse has secured a strong rider line-up for the future.”

Ogura joins an all-new factory team lineup at Aprilia alongside Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi. He also becomes the second Moto2 rider confirmed for a MotoGP move next season, following Fermin Aldeguer’s signing with Ducati and placement at Gresini.

Trackhouse Racing’s ambitious lineup and factory-spec Aprilia RS-GP bikes set the stage for an exciting 2025 season as the team aims to make a significant impact in MotoGP.
