In a dazzling display of innovation and cutting-edge technology, Raptee Energy, an emerging Electric Vehicle (EV) startup, stole the spotlight at the Global Investors Meet (GIM) held in Tamil Nadu on the 7th and 8th of January 2024.

The event was inaugurated by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M K Stalin. It brought together the crème de la crème of Tamil Nadu-based startups and global investors keen on investing in the burgeoning tech and EV landscape of the state.

Raptee Energy seized the opportunity to unveil the first transparent look at its upcoming electric motorcycle. It ought to hit the roads in April 2024. The motorcycle promises a thrilling experience for riders with its high-voltage drivetrain and state-of-the-art technology. This marks a significant stride towards the future of sustainable transportation.

The GIM event attracted participants from 30 nations. It has positioned Tamil Nadu as a hub with robust infrastructure for industries, EV manufacturing, and microchip production. This has generated substantial interest from investors looking to capitalize on the state’s emerging technological ecosystem.

Raptee’s electric motorcycle is a testament to the company’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of EV technology.

The vehicle boasts a powerful drivetrain that enables a top speed of 135 kilometres per hour. It features an impressive real-world range of 150 kilometres on a single charge. Charging the vehicle is a breeze at any CCS2 charging station. It takes only 45 minutes to reach 80% capacity or cover 40 kilometres in just 15 minutes of charging time. With a rapid acceleration of 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds, Raptee’s electric motorcycle leaves traditional gas-powered counterparts in its dust.

The company’s streamlined silhouette, stunning torque and consistent top speed, promise a level of performance that is both striking and unexpected. Raptee’s Research and Development (R&D) team has successfully delivered the first production-ready model. Thus, setting the stage for a full-fledged launch in April 2024.

To support its ambitious production plans, Raptee Energy has already established its first factory in Chennai. It spans an impressive 4 acres with a proposed investment of Rs 85 crores. The facility includes a cutting-edge R&D centre and we can expect it to produce up to 1 lakh units annually. Serving as Raptee’s primary production hub for the next 24 months, the factory will employ 470 individuals engaged in manufacturing and design innovation, including a dedicated battery pack assembly line.

Raptee Energy’s foray into the electric motorcycle market signals a new era for sustainable transportation. The company’s presence at the GIM underscores Tamil Nadu’s growing importance as a hub for cutting-edge technology and innovation in the EV sector. All eyes are on Raptee Energy to see how its groundbreaking electric motorcycle will revolutionize the future of urban mobility.
