Italian luxury motorcycle brand, MV Agusta, is about to penetrate the Malaysian market through a new distributor, AFY Mobility Sdn Bhd (AMI).

Interestingly, they will not just be distributing but will also fully assemble some models in Malaysia.

Last March, the Chairman of the AMI Executive Group, Ahmad Faez Bin Tan Sri Yahaya shared some photos on social media showing glimpses of two MV Agusta Brutale RR machines.

In the latest partnership, Ahmad Faez uploaded a 32-second video featuring the popular sportsbike model, MV Agusta F3. Interestingly, the model is not a standard version but a limited edition RC (Reparto Corse) variant.

For the record, the MV Agusta F3 features a 3-cylinder 798cc 12-valve engine. It is capable of generating 155hp at 13,250rpm and 88Nm at 10,100rpm. The engine also has a high compression ratio of 13.3:1.

Weighing only 165kg, this MV Agusta F3 RC is able to reach a maximum speed of around 240km/h.

Other features on offer include adjustable Marzocchi brand USD 43mm front forks, and front and rear Brembo brake callipers. It has 17-inch rims and a 16.5L tank. This model is also equipped with a 5.5″ TFT meter panel, with ‘cruise control’ and ‘launch control’ functions.

AMI has yet to release an official statement regarding the launch of the MV Agusta model for the Malaysian market. However, we can expect an announcement soon.
