National Moto2 rider, Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah has raised question marks surrounding his career after a cryptic Instagram upload. The Malaysian has three remaining races left for the season.
The 27-year-old rider uploaded an Instastory that captivated his eight-year career journey in the world’s prestigious competition since 2014.
“Eight years of bitter and sweet memories at the World Championships,” he wrote in a pictorial post.
“Thank you to everyone who supported me here and helped me all this time.
“I will never forget you all, which good I took, which bad I forgot. New things (something new) I will let you know when the time comes. You are all the best, thank you all.”
Hafizh, who joined the NTS RW Racing GP team this season, finished the US Grand Prix in 20th place after starting from 27th place.
Known by the nickname ‘El Pescao’, Hafizh completed 18 laps of the race at the Circuit Of The Americas (COTA) with a record of 39 minutes 50.179 seconds, yesterday.
Red Bull KTM Ajo rider Raul Fernandez won the ultimate race with a record of 39: 10.521s while Fabio Di Giannantonio (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) was in second place, 39: 12.255s.
Completing the podium stage was Marco Bezzecchi of SKY Racing Team VR46 at 39’13.621s.
After racing in the United States, Hafizh is now 28th overall in the Moto2 rider chart with eight points.
His best finish was at the Italian GP which saw him finish the race in ninth place last May.
