The MotoGP World Championships continue at the Red Bull Ring this coming weekend, with the Austrian GP now taking place. Besides regular categories (MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3), the MotoE World Cup will also be in action.

MotoGP

Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) continued his strong and consistent campaign with a third-place finish at the Styrian GP even though it was a circuit that was less favorable for the YZR-M1. He thus extended his championship lead to 40 points over Johann Zarco (Pramac / Ducati), who is aiming for much better results than the sixth place from the first attempt at Spielberg.

Last Sunday, it was seen that Joan Mir and Team Suzuki Ecstar are equally strong candidates for the top places, with the winner Jorge Martín (Pramac / Ducati), with the official Ducati of Francesco Bagnaia and Jack Miller or even having to count on with KTM – Brad Binder made a remarkable recovery from 16th to fourth in a race where not everything went his way, while Miguel Oliveira will still arrive physically weak but wants to avoid abandonment motivated by tire problems.

Moto2

In Moto2, the season resumed with no Red Bull KTM Ajo rider on the podium, something that Marco Bezzecchi (Sky Racing Team VR46) is certainly interested in repeating at the Austrian GP – not least because he won the Styrian GP. However, Remy Gardner remains outstanding at the top with 35 points more than Red Bull KTM Ajo colleague Raúl Fernández, with Bezzecchi third at 44 points. Whatever happens, the Italian will maintain his position as Sam Lowes (Elf Marc VDS) has fallen back again and is now 52 points away.

Moto3

As for Moto3, the question will be to see if anyone can go against Pedro Acosta. The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider returned to winning ways last Sunday and now has a 53-point advantage over Sergio García (GasGas Aspar), who remains his great opponent. Romano Fenati (Sterilgarda Max Racing Team / Husqvarna) will look to build on his two podiums in the last two races, at a time when he is third and is already 87 points off the lead.

MotoE

Returning to activity, the MotoE World Cup has Alessandro Zaccone (Octo Pramac) as a leader with seven points more than Jordi Torres (HP Pons 40). It is followed by Eric Granado (One Energy Racing) and Dominique Aegerter (Dynavolt Intact GP) with 17 points, in a championship in which there are three races left this season and in which everything remains open. However, only Torres, Granado, and Aegerter have enough points to overtake Zaccone with the score corresponding to a victory.
