Just a while back we reported on Honda Motorcycle Thailand’s “Under Wraps” event which took place earlier this week. As speculated AP Honda Thailand just pulled the cover off the all-new 2021 Honda PCX 160 in Thailand this morning. Yes, Thailand is now the first market in the ASEAN region to get the updated PCX 160! For 2021, API Honda offers 3 variants of the Honda PCX 160 in Thailand, namely: Honda PCX 160 Non-ABS model, Honda PCX 160 ABS model and Honda PCX 160 e: HEV (Hybrid).

Starting with the Honda PCX 160, the model gets the same sharp aesthetic update that the Japanese PCX model received in December 2020. The PCX 160 is powered by an all-new water-cooled 156.93cc single-cylinder engine that comes equipped with Honda’s eSP + technology.

Braking is done via disc brakes at the front and rear on the ABS (Single channel) variant. Meanwhile, the non-ABS PCX 160 gets disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear.

Underneath, the new PCX160 is built around a duplex steel cradle which Honda claims is lighter and more durable. In the case of electronics, the PCX 160 gets; Full LED lighting, Keyless, HSTC (Honda selectable traction control) and an all-new instrument cluster just like the Japanese PCX 160.

On the creature comfort side, the storage capacity has been increased to 30 litres and the PCX now features a USB C socket as well.

Moving on to the Hybrid PCX 160 e: HEV, the model gets the same general updates as the PCX 160 ABS variant.

However, being a Hybrid, the PCX e: HEV is powered by a 156.93cc engine and an electric motor. Unlike the PCX e: HEV offered in Japan, the PCX 160 e: HEV in Thailand uses the updated 156.93cc mill from new PCX 160 instead of a 124cc mill.

In the case of pricing, the standard PCX 160 is offered in 2 colours for 85,900 Thai Bhat (MYR 11,546). On the other hand, the PCX 160 ABS variant is offered in 3 colours with an MSPR of 91,900 Thai Bhat (MYR 12,352). Meanwhile, the Hybrid PCX 160 e: HEV is offered in one colour at 107,500 Thai Bhat (MYR 14,449).
