Ducati starts production of the Superleggera V4

The first Ducati Superleggera V4 comes off the production line of the Borgo Panigale plant.

Limited to only 500 units, the Superleggera V4 is the only road-legal motorcycle in the world to use carbon fibre frame, swingarm and rims. The Ducati Superleggera V4 marked #001 of 500 has come off the Borgo Panigale production line in Italy. Ducati says this masterpiece of engineering sets a new benchmark in terms of performance style and attention to detail. It’s true, when Ducati launched the Superleggera V4 back in February, it took the internet by storm.

The Delivery

The Ducati Superleggera V4 limited to only 500 units comes with a certificate of authenticity. The progressive numbering of the motorcycle (XXX/500) is badged on the chassis, steering head and ignition key.

Ducati says the first lucky owner would be invited to Borgo Panigale for the delivery ceremony in the next few days. On top of this, the owner would get to personally meet Claudio Domenicali, Ducati CEO to receive the bike marked 001/500.

Ducati’s Superbike and MotoGP Experience

On top of this, the owners who reserved the bike get Ducati’s ” Superbike experience” where they get to try out the SBK World Championship  Panigale V4 R on track at Mugello. If that’s not exclusive enough, limited to 30 owners of the Superleggera V4, they can purchase access to the “MotoGP Experience”. With this access, they get to ride the Desmosedici GP on the track! Ducati says both of these “Experiences” are confirmed for next year, 2021.

The Race Kit

The owners also get to personalize the Superleggera V4 leathers with airbags from SuMisura Ducati line as well as complete the look with carbon helmet with custom colours and graphics.

Furthermore, each Superleggera V4 comes with a racing kit. The kit includes a complete titanium Akrapovič racing track exhaust; carbon fibre open clutch cover, carbon fibre swingarm cover with titanium slider; headlamp and light replacement kit; license plate and side stand removal kit; billet mirror replacement caps; Ducati Data Analyzer +GPS (DDA+GPS); racing fuel cap, brake lever protection, motorcycle cover; front and rear stand and battery charger.

Last but not least, along with the kit, Ducati also includes a 1:10 scale model; modelled in futuristic aerodynamic shape to customers with the number of their motorbike.
