Aprilia is now represented in Malaysia by Didi Resources

Aprilia is now represented in Malaysia by Didi Resources

The Piaggio Group has set new goals for one of the most iconic Italian brands under their portfolio, Aprilia, by announcing a new official distributor for Malaysia, with Didi Resources taking over the role that until now was in the hands of Naza Premira.

Didi Resources was already the Malaysian representative for the Moto Guzzi brand, also part of Piaggio Group, so the addition of Aprilia to the brands they represent means that Didi Resources will also gain momentum and be able to work and deliver more classic bikes with the Guzzi line-up, and from now on also work on the sporty segments with Aprilia and its naked and sportbike line-up.

The famous Gasket Alley at Petaling Jaya will house a dedicated showroom for both Aprilia and Moto Guzzi brands, an aftersales and a service workshop, with a new team equipped with specialized technical skills and expertise, fully trained by Aprilia. Customers are assured of a seamless transition in customer care and service support.

Mr. Rewi Hamid Bugo, Chairman of Didi Resources Sdn. Bhd, is a happy man, and at the official announcement event said “We are very honoured to be presented with this opportunity to manage Aprilia, a prestigious Piaggio Group brand for the Malaysian market. This complements the Moto Guzzi range which we have established since August 2017 and completes our premium Italian motorcycle product range under Piaggio. Through this acquisition, Didi Resources is firmly committed to building the Aprilia brand through a dedicated aftersales support, strengthening of the Aprilia community and ensuring that engagement with the brand is continuous in the light of a competitive 2-wheel environment in Malaysia”.

As a way to show their connection to Aprilia, Didi Resources also organized a gathering where existing Aprilia owners were able to reconnect to the brand, meet other Aprilia owners and their bikes, and at the same time got the news from Mr. Rewi Hamid Bugo that Didi Resources is fully committed to generate more bike owners by extending brand presence in organizing Track Day, Community Rides and especially increase the presence in the upcoming MotoGP Sepang 2018.

Didi Resources will take control of Aprilia distribution by August 1st.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
