Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) has announced a significant partnership agreement with renowned Japanese sportswear and equipment manufacturer, Mizuno Corporation, for the supply of official race uniforms. Beginning in the 2026 season, this collaboration will outfit HRC staff in brand-new, unified team wear across its top-tier global motorsport programs.

This strategic alliance marks a historic first for HRC, as it will be the first time the organization adopts a unified design scheme across both its motorcycle and automobile racing divisions. In another pioneering move, the common uniform will span HRC’s operations in both Japan and the United States, creating a cohesive and powerful brand identity for its engineers and staff on the world stage.

The new Mizuno uniforms will be worn by HRC personnel competing in the most demanding championships on the planet. The partnership encompasses the pinnacle of two-wheeled racing, MotoGP, and the premier single-seater category, Formula 1.

The agreement also extends to North America’s prestigious IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the IndyCar Series, as well as Japan’s elite domestic competitions, the All-Japan Super Formula Championship and the GT500 class of the SUPER GT Series.

Fans will get their first glimpse of the new team apparel at the IMSA pre-season test, the “Roar Before The Rolex 24,” held on January 17–18, 2026, at Daytona International Speedway. The full design for each category is slated for a complete unveiling in mid-January 2026. Additionally, a merchandise line based on the new uniform design is being developed, allowing fans to share in the excitement and emotion of the sport.

Koji Watanabe, President of Honda Racing Corporation, emphasized the forward-looking nature of the deal. “By partnering with Mizuno, a leader in sports equipment and apparel known for its advanced technology, we will create new uniforms that represent the new era of Honda HRC,” he stated.

“The 2026 season will be a significant one for Honda, including a new chapter in F1. Together with the reliability and functionality cultivated in various sports fields by the Mizuno brand, HRC aims to further enhance its brand value.”

The partnership is also a milestone for Mizuno, which will celebrate its 120th anniversary in 2026. “In this milestone year, we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to support Honda HRC as they compete on the world’s highest racing stage,” said Takeshi Shichijo, Representative Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer of Mizuno Corporation.

“Through this partnership, we are proud to share in the pursuit of victory and the joy and excitement it brings. We believe the new unified design uniforms, symbolizing both brands, will move fans’ hearts and create new value,” he added.
