After winning the Moto2 race at the Grand Prix of the Valencian Community, Izan Guevara received a special reward from Yamaha. The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 rider was given the chance to ride the 2025 YZR-M1 in a private session at Circuit Ricardo Tormo. This reward came from a promise made earlier in the season and showed Yamaha’s support for young and upcoming talent.

Guevara joined Yamaha’s four full-time MotoGP riders at the Valencia circuit for the session. It was not an official test. It was a personal gift to celebrate his strong season and his victory in Valencia. The reward came from a bet made by Pramac Racing Director Gino Borsoi during the Malaysian GP. He told Guevara that if he won a race before the season ended, he would get the chance to try a MotoGP bike. Guevara kept his side of the deal, and Yamaha did the same.

At 11:38 a.m., Guevara climbed onto the 2025 YZR-M1 for the first time. He completed two runs of five laps. During the ride, he was able to feel the power, braking, and handling of the MotoGP machine. For Guevara, it was an important moment and a taste of what the future may hold.

The session was all about enjoyment and motivation. Yamaha and Pramac Racing wanted him to experience the bike without pressure. The ride also served as a reminder of how far he has come this season and how much potential he has moving forward.

Gino Borsoi, Team Director, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2: “Izan is the first BLU CRU rider to try a MotoGP bike, and he showed his talent once again. He completed two runs of five laps and adapted very quickly. This chance came from a bet I made with him in Malaysia after seeing his big improvement in the second half of the season. I promised that if he won a race, he would get to try the MotoGP bike. After his win in Valencia, he earned this moment. I hope this experience gives him more motivation as we look ahead to the 2026 season.”

Izan Guevara, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Rider: “I am very thankful to Yamaha for this chance. Riding a MotoGP bike is a dream for any rider. This moment felt very special. In the morning, Jack Miller’s crew explained how the bike works and how to manage the braking and acceleration. The power was incredible.

“I was shocked by the acceleration. Even before shifting gears, I could feel there was much more power available. The bike was smooth in the corners and very easy to handle. On the straight, I realised just how strong the M1 is and how much focus it takes to ride it for a full race.

“I had a lot of fun. I want to thank Yamaha, and also Jack, for letting me use his bike and his team.”ding me his bike and his crew.”
