Aprilia Racing Celebrates Its Most Successful Season in MotoGP History

Bezzecchi’s breakthrough year, a manufacturers’ runner-up finish, and milestone victories mark an unforgettable 2025 season for Aprilia Racing

Aprilia Racing closed the 2025 MotoGP season with results that will be remembered for years. The victory by Marco Bezzecchi at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia marked the end of a campaign filled with strong performances, steady progress, and important milestones. It also confirmed this season as the most successful in Aprilia Racing’s history.

Bezzecchi played a leading role throughout the year. It was his first season riding the RS-GP25, and after a short adaptation period, he found a strong rhythm. The turning point came during the Jerez tests, where he gained confidence and speed. From that moment, his growth was constant. He went on to score three long-race wins, three sprint victories, 15 total podiums, and five pole positions. These results earned him third place in the championship with 353 points, the best ever finish for an Aprilia rider in MotoGP.

Jorge Martín faced a very different season. A series of injuries affected his campaign from the start. He first suffered a setback at the Sepang tests, then during training, and later in both the Qatar long race and the Motegi sprint. After more than six weeks away, he returned to Valencia with the goal of regaining his feeling with the RS-GP25. Although his results were limited, the final test in Valencia gave him good sensations and renewed motivation for the future.

Lorenzo Savadori also played a key role in Aprilia’s progress. As the test rider, he stepped in for Martín when needed and used every race weekend to develop and refine the RS-GP25. His work often took place away from the spotlight, yet it was essential in keeping Aprilia Racing competitive and consistent across the season.

The Trackhouse MotoGP Team added more strength to Aprilia’s project. Ai Ogura, in his rookie year, showed steady improvement. His growth was clear from race to race as he adapted to MotoGP. Raúl Fernández, meanwhile, enjoyed the best season of his career. He took his first MotoGP podium with third place in the Mandalika sprint. He then finished second in the Phillip Island sprint, and the next day delivered Aprilia Racing’s 300th win in FIM Grand Prix World Championship history. His momentum continued in Valencia, where he secured second place behind Bezzecchi, giving Aprilia another memorable one-two finish.

These achievements highlight the strength of the RS-GP project and the efforts of everyone working in Noale. Aprilia Racing ended the season with second place in the Manufacturers Championship with 418 points. It was a significant milestone for the team. The year was also marked by the historic Australian Grand Prix win, which became Aprilia’s 300th Grand Prix victory. This achievement confirmed Aprilia Racing as the most successful European manufacturer in FIM Grand Prix history, now counting 302 total wins.

“It was a thrilling year. Jorge’s injuries were serious and difficult to manage, but Marco’s rise was extraordinary. The numbers speak clearly, including more than 400 points in the Manufacturers Championship. This gives us confidence for 2026, where we want to fight for the title. I also want to thank the Trackhouse MotoGP Team for their contribution. Our rivals are strong, but our motivation is even stronger. The work done in Noale, especially under Fabiano’s guidance, will push us forward. We cannot wait to go to Sepang and test the RS-GP26, which must be fast from the very beginning.”
