The future of the Honda LCR MotoGP Team has taken a decisive shape with the announcement that Brazilian rising star Diogo Moreira will join the squad on a multi-year contract starting from the 2026 season.
The signing confirms the highly-rated Moto2 contender’s long-anticipated promotion to the premier class. Moreira, who is currently locked in a fierce battle for the 2025 Moto2 championship, has been a standout talent since his World Championship debut. After a promising Moto3™ career, he was crowned Rookie of the Year in Moto2 in 2024 and now boasts multiple wins and podiums this season, solidifying his status as a future star.
The move underscores Honda Racing Corporation’s (HRC) and the LCR team’s committed strategy to nurture the next generation of MotoGP champions.
