The Terengganu police will be offering a 50 percent discount on traffic summonses in conjunction with the RXZ Members 7.0 Gathering taking place this Saturday (August 23) at the Terengganu Motor Circuit.

According to Terengganu Police Chief, Datuk Mohd Khairi Khairuddin, members of the public can settle their summonses at a mobile payment counter that will be open from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm at the event venue.

However, he clarified that the discount does not apply to 10 categories of summonses, including:

  • Cases related to accidents
  • Non-compoundable (N/C) summonses
  • Summonses issued under Op Selamat
  • Court cases
  • Offences involving heavy vehicles
  • Dangerous overtaking (Q-turn)
  • Use of emergency lanes
  • Failing to obey traffic lights
  • Exhaust modification offences
  • Overtaking on double lines

“We encourage the public to take this opportunity to clear their outstanding summonses that qualify for the discount,” he told Berita Harian when contacted.

The RXZ Members Gathering, now in its seventh edition, has become one of the largest two-stroke motorcycle community events in Malaysia.

Earlier, the Prime Minister announced an allocation of RM100,000 to support the 2025 programme, reflecting the government’s recognition of the motoring community’s role.
