Six-time MotoGP world champion Marc Márquez has revealed a striking new helmet design for this weekend’s Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), blending American customisation culture with his signature flair. Dubbed the “Marquez Speed Shop” theme, the Shoei helmet pays homage to his official online store and blends the golden age of American hot rods.
The design features bold graphics, including the iconic number 93, and sponsorship like the Estrella Galicia and Lenovo Ducati emblazoned across its surface. The vibrant red, black, and white colour scheme mirrors the gritty aesthetic of classic speed shops, while subtle metallic accents evoke a retro-meets-modern vibe.
During Thursday’s press conference, Márquez explained the inspiration: “This weekend, I’ll be wearing a special helmet design. Austin is a special place for me, so I’ll take on the challenge with a special colour scheme. If I could lift this helmet on the podium, it would be perfect.”
COTA has historically been a stronghold for the Spaniard, where he has claimed seven premier-class victories. The special helmet could serve as both a motivational symbol and a fan-focused gesture as he aims to keep dominating the 2025 season.
The Grand Prix of the Americas kicks off on Friday, March 28th, with Márquez poised to debut his new gear under the Texas sun. Whether the helmet brings him luck remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: it’s already a visual victory.
