Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and Eli Tomac made a powerful return to the top step of the podium at Round 6 of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship, with the two-time 450SX Champion delivering a commanding performance at Seattle’s Lumen Field.

Racing aboard the KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, Tomac clinched his third victory of the 2026 SMX World Championship season in challenging and technical track conditions, marking the 56th 450SX win of his illustrious career.

Tomac executes decisive move in Main Event

Tomac began the day by setting the second-fastest qualifying time, just behind teammate Jorge Prado, demonstrating Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s strong early pace. He followed that up with a calculated third-place finish in his Heat Race, securing a favourable gate position for the Main Event as the Seattle circuit deteriorated throughout the evening.

Launching off the line with a strong start in the Main Event, Tomac quickly positioned himself in second place and carefully shadowed the race leader in the opening laps. At the halfway mark, he made a decisive pass to take control of the race, steadily building a gap and ultimately claiming victory by an impressive 9.265 seconds.

The result places Tomac just one point shy of the 450SX championship lead heading into next weekend’s Arlington round.

Eli Tomac:
“Seattle was the usual conditions today. a tough track to really get comfortable on. I saved the best for last though. I got my best start and had my strongest ride in the Main Event. I cleaned up some lines, adjusted a few jump combinations, and managed the race well. It’s one of the toughest rounds on the schedule, so it feels good to come back and get the win after a couple of challenging weekends.”

Plessinger continues steady progress

Teammate Aaron Plessinger also put in a determined performance aboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION. After qualifying ninth overall, “The Cowboy” secured a direct transfer to the Main Event with a strong third-place Heat Race finish.

Plessinger started well in the Main Event and battled inside the top five during the early stages. While the second half of the race proved more difficult, he crossed the line in seventh position, continuing to build momentum as the season progresses.

Aaron Plessinger:
“It was an alright night for me. I struggled a bit in practice, but got solid starts in both the Heat and the Main Event. The first half of the Main was good, but I need to be better in the closing stages. We’re working toward more consistency and fewer mistakes. Heading back to Florida this week will help us reset and improve for Arlington.”

Jorge Prado sidelined after qualifying incident

Four-time world champion Jorge Prado once again showcased his raw speed by posting the fastest qualifying time for the second consecutive week, clocking a 50.600-second lap, nearly half a second quicker than Tomac.

However, an incident late in the second qualifying session forced Prado to withdraw from Round 6 before lining up for his Heat Race. The 25-year-old will undergo further medical evaluation this week.

With Tomac back in winning form and the championship battle tightening, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing heads to Arlington with renewed momentum in the 2026 AMA Supercross season.
