Aprilia Racing have officially confirmed that Marco Bezzecchi has signed a new multi-year contract, securing his place with the team into MotoGP’s next technical era. The move makes Bezzecchi the first major name to settle his future as the 2027 rider market begins to take shape.

The announcement followed a playful and creative theme from the team, likening the agreement to a “marriage” between Bezzecchi and his Aprilia RS-GP machine, which he affectionately calls Albarosa at the Sepang Circuit. After his final win of the 2025 season in Valencia, the Italian even joked by kneeling beside the bike as if proposing, a moment that now seems fitting.

Behind the humour, the message is clear: both rider and factory believe strongly in their shared future. While reports suggest reigning champion Jorge Martín is close to finalising a move to Yamaha, Bezzecchi has chosen continuity with the Noale-based project.

Bezzecchi: “I’m extremely happy to have renewed for another two years. From the first day I signed, I had the goal in mind of building a long-term project. I’m happy to have found the support of the entire team and the whole Noale factory.”

Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola said the renewal was the team’s top priority, adding that the light-hearted presentation reflected Bezzecchi’s personality while underlining the strength of the project.

A Breakthrough 2025 Season

The contract extension comes after a sensational 2025 campaign, Bezzecchi’s first with Aprilia, in which he became the most successful rider in the team’s MotoGP history.

He secured three Grand Prix victories at Silverstone, Portimão and Valencia, along with three Sprint wins at Misano, Mandalika and Phillip Island. Across the season, he claimed 15 podiums, five pole positions, and finished third overall in the championship with 353 points.

His smooth yet aggressive riding style and confidence on corner entry have made him a natural fit for the RS-GP, and Aprilia now head into the coming seasons with rare stability in their rider lineup.

With Bezzecchi locked in and the team’s competitiveness rising, Aprilia are positioning themselves as a serious long-term force as MotoGP prepares for a major rules reset in 2027.
