Mforce Bike Holdings Sdn. Bhd. has once again put Malaysia on the global map, securing two prestigious international awards, “2025 Best Seller” and “2025 ADXTG Best Seller” at EICMA 2025 in Milan. And after spending some time with the new SYM ADXTG 400, those accolades feel absolutely well-deserved.
After over six decades of building scooters, SYM is confidently stepping into new territory. The ADXTG 400 marks the brand’s first-ever adventure-style scooter, blending SUV-like ruggedness with the everyday comfort that scooters are loved for. Honda may have pioneered the trail-scooter wave with the X-ADV, but SYM is now charging forward with a serious new challenger in the segment.
From the moment you look at it, the ADXTG 400 screams strength. Its muscular design lives up to its name as Adventure x Touring = ADXTG, and surprisingly, despite its bulky stance, it’s much more nimble than expected. I picked up the white unit from MForce for this review, and right away it felt well-balanced and easy to handle.
Power comes from a central-mounted 399cc SOHC single-cylinder engine, a design choice that sets it apart from traditional rear-engine scooters. This centralized layout plays a big role in the bike’s stability and handling. Producing 34.5 hp and 37 Nm, paired with a CVT and chain-driven rear wheel running on the aluminium swingarm, the power delivery is smooth and progressive.
It doesn’t slam you with torque off the line, but instead builds speed steadily, and without realizing it, you’ll already be at 110 km/h. Push it further and the ADXTG 400 manages to reach 150+ km/h while staying impressively stable.
Out on the highway, even with crosswinds, the scooter feels controlled and planted. The adjustable windshield helps a lot at speed, though I still felt wind hitting my waist quite directly. Still, there was zero wobble at top speed, which is reassuring for long-distance riders.

In city chaos, especially the notorious Old Klang Road and NPE traffic during peak hours, the ADXTG handles like a champ. It slices through cars effortlessly, even with a pillion onboard. For a machine that looks this beefy, its agility is genuinely surprising.
Cornering is another area where the ADXTG shines. Thanks to the USD front forks and centralized multi-link monoshock, the scooter feels planted when leaning into corners, whether on smoother highways or twisty uphill roads. The setup gives you confidence, especially on routes like Genting Highlands where the curves come fast and often.
Suspension-wise, the 15-inch front wheel, 14-inch rear wheel, aluminium swingarm, and under-engine skid plate give it the ability to take on uneven terrain without worry. Light off-road paths or rough patches are handled with ease.

Braking power is solid, supported by dual-channel Bosch ABS. The rear ABS can be switched off for trail riding, and traction control can also be toggled off. TCS saved me once on wet tarmac when the rear began to slip, it cut power just at the right time to prevent a slide.
When it comes to practicality, SYM didn’t hold back. The ADXTG 400 comes equipped with:
- Smart lock system
- Full LED lighting
- Adjustable wind deflector
- Hand guards
- USB charging ports
- 32-litre under-seat storage (Spacious enough for a full-face KYT TTC helmet and extra items)
- At 790 mm seat height and 213 kg, it’s approachable and easy to manage for most riders.
After riding it through city traffic, highways, rainy conditions, and even up Genting Highlands, it’s clear that the 2025 SYM ADXTG 400 is a versatile, well-rounded machine. It blends adventure styling with scooter practicality, offering strong stability, comfortable handling, and rider-friendly features.
In short: it’s a solid daily commuter, a confident long-distance machine, and a surprisingly capable corner-carver. Tough looks, easy ride, and overall, a very impressive entry from SYM into the adventure-scooter world. I definitely would love to have one in my garage.
