Ducati has wrapped up another successful year, reporting revenues exceeding one billion euros for the third consecutive year. Despite industry challenges, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer maintained its financial strength, achieving an operating profit (EBIT) of 91 million euros and a profitability margin of 9.1%.

Consistent Performance Amid Industry Challenges

Ducati’s revenue for 2024 totalled 1.003 billion euros, slightly lower than the 1.065 billion euros recorded in 2023. This stability highlights the company’s resilience in navigating a highly competitive market while remaining committed to delivering high-value, exclusive motorcycles. The company delivered 54,495 motorcycles globally in 2024, a decrease from the 58,224 units sold the previous year, reinforcing its strategy of prioritizing exclusivity over sheer volume.

Strategic Focus on Innovation and Sustainability

CEO Claudio Domenicali reflected on Ducati’s financial results, emphasizing their significance in reinforcing the company’s long-term vision:

“The 2024 results confirm Ducati’s brand strength and financial stability, which enable us to continue investing in excellence, innovation, and the exclusivity of our products.”

Domenicali stressed that Ducati’s sound financial foundation allows for continuous investment in research, technological advancements, and motorsport, ensuring the brand remains synonymous with performance and innovation.

Ducati’s CFO, Henning Jens, echoed this sentiment, stating, “2024 was a demanding year due to challenging market conditions. Our focus was on maintaining profitability and ensuring sustainable long-term growth rather than merely pushing sales volumes. This strategy, alongside ongoing efficiency improvements, helped us achieve a solid 9.1% return on sales and a robust financial position.”

Exciting New Models for 2025

Looking forward, Ducati is set to expand its offerings in 2025 with ten new models designed to enhance its portfolio of high-performance motorcycles. Among the highlights are the XDiavel V4 and Multistrada V4, powered by the V4 Granturismo engine, and the Panigale V4 and Streetfighter V4, featuring the latest iteration of the Desmosedici Stradale engine.

Ducati has also introduced an updated twin-cylinder lineup, including the Panigale V2, Streetfighter V2, and Multistrada V2, each powered by the brand’s lightest-ever twin-cylinder engine. Notably, the company is making its debut in the off-road sector with its first motocross bike, set to hit selected dealerships in June 2025.

Ducati’s Roadmap for the Future

Ducati’s 2024 financial performance underscores its ability to sustain profitability while navigating industry fluctuations. By emphasizing innovation, exclusivity, and customer experience, the company continues to strengthen its presence in the premium motorcycle segment. With an exciting 2025 lineup, Ducati is poised to further captivate motorcycle enthusiasts, reinforcing its legacy as a leader in performance and design.
