Triumph Motorcycles Malaysia through its Facebook account, informed that the latest model, Triumph Tiger Sport 660 will enter Malaysia in two to three months.
This also saw the Tiger Sport 660 will land in the local market less than six months after the global launch at the end of last October.
Developed with the same 660cc three-cylinder engine found on the Trident 660, the Tiger Sport comes with a ‘sport tourer’ motorcycle element while offering practical and versatile features.
The new model will also compete with the Kawasaki Versys 650, Suzuki V-Strom 650 and Yamaha Tracer 7.
The Tiger Sport 660 produces 79hp at 10,250rpm and 64Nm at 6,250rpm with Triumph claiming 90 per cent of the torque can be felt as early as 3,600rpm.
Other features also brought from Trident are the function of two ride modes, Rain and Road, Ride-by-Wire system with a 6-speed transmission and assist/slipper clutch feature.
Meanwhile, the braking system is operated by dual-channel ABS which is matched with Nissin two-piston front brake callipers along with 310mm front and 255mm rear brake discs. However, it should be noted that the ABS system cannot be turned off.
Like the Triumph Trident 660 which is offered at RM43,900, the Tiger Sport is also expected to come at an affordable price.
