Triumph has just introduced two limited edition models of the Rocket 3. Namely, the Triumph Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black will be limited to just 1,000 units (each) worldwide. Sold with their own certificate of authenticity, the Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black deliver extra exclusivity for anyone who wants extra oomph.

Speaking of the bikes, the Triumph Rocket 3 R Black and Triumph Rocket 3 GT Triple Black get an array of exclusive aesthetic touches. Starting with the paint scheme, the Rocket 3 R Black gets an aggressive matte and floss all-black paint scheme meanwhile the Rocket 3 GT Triple Black gets a distinctive three-shade paint scheme.

The premium “blacked-out” theme is also found on the headlight bezels, radiator cowls, flyscreen finishers and rear bodywork finishers of both models.

Looking at the design touches in detail, both these models feature unique premium black-painted hydroformed exhaust headers, heat shields, end caps and black powder-coated intake covers.

Moreover, black-anodized parts such as the fold-away passenger footrests, swinging arm guard, rear suspension rocker, side stand, bar-end mirrors, footrests, heel guards, hangers, and brake pedal bring more detail to these special edition models. Besides this, the high-specification Showa forks, risers and handlebar clamps get the same black colour treatment as well. Finally, the addition of components like the carbon-fibre front mudguard further enhances the premium feel of these special bikes.

Standard specifications:

Besides these aesthetic touches, the limited edition models do not get any mechanical updates. Having said that, the specifications remain unchanged from the standard Rocket 3. Powered by a 2,458cc inline 3-cylinder engine, the Rocket 3 pushes 167 PS (164.7 hp) @ 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 221 Nm @ 4,000 rpm.

In the case of suspension, Showa 47mm upside-down cartridge front forks and a fully-adjustable Showa monoshock take care of suspension duties. Braking is done via dual 320mm disc with Brembo M4.30 Stylema 4-piston radially mounted callipers up front and a single 300mm disc with Brembo M4.32 4-piston calliper at the rear.  In the case of electronics and rider aids, the standard Rocket 3 electronics and features such as the TFT multi-functional instrument display, 5 rider modes, RWB and cornering ABS are carried forward as well.

Pricing and availability

In the case of pricing, the Triumph Rocker 3 GT Triple Black is priced at  £21,700 (approx. MYR 124,282) meanwhile the Rocket 3 R Black is priced at £21,000.00 in the UK. As for the availability, the limited edition models are said to go on sale worldwide.
