Honda says the new CBR600RR would roll in with enhanced overall performance, handling and balance. Equipped with a 4-stroke, DOHC, 599cc inline-4 engine, Honda says the new Honda CBR600RR would adopt the latest electronic and aerodynamic package to match the engine. Overall, with this bike, Honda promises greater performance and handling on both the track and on-road.
2021 Honda CBR600RR Specification
Although, the full specification of the Honda CBR600RR is limited for now, here are a few things we pulled together from the teaser video. The highlights of the preview showcase an all-new Full-LED headlamp, under-seat exhaust system, alloy wheels, digital instrument cluster, updated bodywork and HRC decals. Aside from this, looking at the preview, the new Honda CBR600RR has a 15,000 rpm redline and could reach a top speed of 225km/h+! Although there are no official output figures yet, we believe the new 2021 Honda CBR600RR would push over 118 bhp and 66 Nm of peak torque. Aside from this, judging from the preview, we think the new CBR600 would easily hit a top speed of 250 km/h!
Pricing and Availability
The current-gen CBR600RR is priced at US$ 11,799 /MYR 49,437 in the US market so we believe the new 2021 model would be priced around the same mark or a few hundred $$$ more. Of course, the new Honda CBR600RR would make it out of Japan. However, as the current-gen CBR600RR is discounted in a few markets, it’s pretty hard to comment on the availability of this bike in these markets. Although Malaysia falls under this market, as Boonsiew Honda has already brought in more exclusive CBR models like the Honda CBR1000RR-R SP, the chances of this new Honda CBR600RR getting into Malaysia looks like a possibility. However, we can’t comment much or guarantee on the debut of this new bike here.
