Red Bull has been confirmed as the title sponsor of the Adelaide MotoGP Grand Prix for 2027 and 2028, marking a new chapter for the premier motorcycle racing championship in Australia.
The inaugural Adelaide event will take place on a temporary street circuit built through the city’s parklands. It is scheduled to be the penultimate round of the 2027 MotoGP season.
The move will bring an end to Phillip Island’s long-standing role as host of the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. The iconic circuit will stage its final MotoGP round from 23 to 25 October 2026, before the event moves to the Adelaide Parklands Street Circuit in South Australia from 2027.
MotoGP Deputy CEO Carlos Ezpeleta welcomed Red Bull’s involvement, describing the partnership as an important step as the championship prepares to begin a new era in Adelaide.
He said the inaugural race would be a landmark moment for MotoGP, with the new city circuit offering an opportunity to bring the sport closer to fans and create a unique experience for riders, teams and spectators.
Ezpeleta also highlighted Red Bull’s extensive motorsport experience and shared ambition to deliver world-class events, making the brand a suitable partner for the future of the Australian Grand Prix.

Red Bull has already served as title sponsor for several MotoGP events this season, including the rounds at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) and San Marino.
South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas also welcomed the partnership, describing Red Bull’s involvement as a major endorsement of Adelaide’s first MotoGP Grand Prix.
He said the agreement would bring international exposure to South Australia, generate excitement around the event and help establish Adelaide as a must-visit destination on the MotoGP calendar.
Malinauskas added that preparations were underway to deliver a memorable inaugural race in 2027, with Red Bull and MotoGP working together to establish the event.
Meanwhile, the final Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island, scheduled for 23 to 25 October 2026, is currently listed without a title sponsor.
From 2027 onwards, the Adelaide Parklands Street Circuit will take over as the new home of the Australian MotoGP, introducing a city-centre racing experience to the championship’s calendar.
