The 2025 season has firmly established BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP as one of the most competitive and commercially powerful teams on the world championship stage. Combining standout sporting success with exponential growth in global media exposure, the Faenza-based squad capped off a year defined by performance, visibility, and sponsor value.
Sporting Success: A Season of Achieved Targets
On the track, 2025 delivered exceptional results for the Italian outfit. The team claimed seven race victories, including three Sprint wins, and amassed an impressive 33 podium finishes across the season. These performances propelled Álex Márquez to second place in the MotoGP Riders’ Championship. Thus, underlining his consistency and title-contending pace throughout the year.
Further highlights included the Rookie of the Year honour for Fermín Aldeguer, along with the prestigious Best Independent Rider and Best Independent Team titles. Together, these accolades reaffirmed the technical strength of the project and the competitiveness of the Gresini operation at the highest level.
TV Exposure and Media Value Continue to Climb
According to data from Camaleonic Analytics, BK8 Gresini Racing enjoyed 24 hours and 1 minute of total TV exposure in 2025, an increase of 10.93% compared to 2024, making it the second most visible team overall in MotoGP.
Team partners benefitted from 48 hours and 20 minutes of broadcast visibility, while the total media value generated for sponsors reached €459.4 million (approximately RM2.34 billion), reflecting a 3.44% year-on-year increase. These figures underline how on-track performance continues to translate directly into commercial impact.
Social Media: A Rapidly Expanding Global Community
The team’s digital footprint also surged in 2025. Data from Meta and Meltwater/Klear showed the Gresini digital community growing to 911,000 followers across all platforms, representing a massive 49% increase over 2024.
The highly successful #GresiniRecords campaign, built around 305 pieces of content, delivered 82 million total views, 4 million interactions, 4.93% engagement per view and €5.25 million (approximately RM26.8 million) in Earned Media Value.
These figures highlight the team’s growing appeal beyond the race track and its ability to connect with a global fanbase.
Commercial Momentum and a Shifting MotoGP Landscape
Gresini Racing Commercial and Marketing Director Carlo Merlini described 2025 as a “sensational” season both on and off the circuit, pointing out how competitive results have directly fuelled brand exposure for partners, particularly for title sponsor BK8 NEWS, which joined the project in 2025 on a multi-year programme.
The remarkable commercial performance of the team also arrives during a major turning point for the championship itself, following the announcement of Liberty Media as the main shareholder of MotoGP. This transition is expected to accelerate the sport’s expansion into new markets and audiences worldwide, an evolution BK8 Gresini Racing is well positioned to capitalise on.
