Honda has revealed the V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype at EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy. This new prototype features a 900cc water-cooled 75-degree V3 engine paired with the world’s first electronically-controlled compressor for motorcycles.

The debut reflects Honda’s commitment to its 2030 Vision, which focuses on delivering the joy and freedom of mobility. With this new prototype, Honda aims to create a motorcycle that goes beyond expectations and sets new standards for excitement and performance.

Revolutionary V3 Engine Technology

The V3R 900 E-Compressor was designed under the concept of “Non-Rail Roller Coaster.” The idea combines two experiences, guaranteed thrill and reassuring peace of mind. Honda engineers wanted to give riders an exciting yet controlled performance that feels both powerful and safe.

The motorcycle uses a compact and slim 900cc engine, developed from the concept engine first shown at EICMA 2024. With the electronically-controlled compressor, air compression is managed independently from the engine’s rpm. This technology ensures instant torque and smooth acceleration, even at low speeds. As a result, the new V3 engine achieves performance similar to a 1,200cc engine, while maintaining high fuel efficiency and lower emissions.

Design That Blends Style and Function

Honda focused on achieving a lightweight and well-balanced design for the prototype. The asymmetrical side cowls give the motorcycle a modern and aerodynamic look, while also improving airflow and stability. In addition, the fuel tank features the new “Honda Flagship WING” emblem, which will appear on Honda’s top-tier models starting in 2026. This new emblem represents Honda’s evolution into a new era of innovation and craftsmanship.

Moving Toward the Future

The V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype highlights Honda’s ability to merge technology, performance, and environmental responsibility. The model offers a thrilling yet smooth ride experience, embodying the idea of a roller coaster without rails. Moreover, it represents a new milestone for Honda in its mission to deliver motorcycles that inspire confidence and excitement. The company will continue development toward mass production, ensuring that riders worldwide can experience this new form of Honda performance.
