The Moto3 World Championship returns this weekend at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, better known as Portimão, Portugal. The track, nicknamed the “Roller Coaster,” is famous for its steep climbs, sharp drops, and fast corners. With nine right-hand turns and six to the left, it offers a thrilling challenge for every rider, including Malaysia’s Hakim Danish.

Hakim joins the MT MSi Racing Team for this round as a replacement rider for Ryusei Yamanaka. Yamanaka is recovering from surgery after an injury that prevents him from competing in the last two races of the 2025 season, the PortugueseGP and the ValencianGP.

Meanwhile, Hakim arrives in Portimão full of momentum. He recently competed in the FIM JuniorGP World Championship in Barcelona, where he finished ninth in Race 1 and sixth in Race 2. Those results gave him extra confidence ahead of his Moto3 debut.

This weekend marks a major step in his racing journey. The jump from JuniorGP to Moto3 is challenging, but Hakim is ready to give his best performance. His smooth riding style and strong race pace have made him one of Malaysia’s most promising young riders.

“The PortugueseGP is a huge opportunity for the team, giving Danish the chance to replace Yamanaka,” said Team Manager Zulfahmi Khairuddin. “To be honest, it’s going to be a very busy month for Danish, with four consecutive weekends of racing. I just hope he can stay healthy throughout this period and remain competitive in both the Moto3 and JuniorGP World Championship.”

After Portimão, Hakim will continue his campaign in the FIM JuniorGP series. The next few weeks will test his endurance and focus, but also give him valuable experience in world-level competition. Therefore, this Moto3 round in Portimão will serve as the perfect opportunity for Hakim Danish to showcase his talent on the world stage.
