The wait is finally over, the MotoGP 2026 grid is officially set! As we enter the final leg of the 2025 season, all 22 seats have now been confirmed, marking the end of an intense and dramatic “silly season” that’s kept fans guessing for months.
After plenty of rumours, shock announcements, and last-minute twists, the final puzzle piece has fallen into place. Diogo Moreira will join the IDEMITSU Honda LCR team, putting an end to weeks of speculation surrounding the final open seat on the grid.
This follows a string of major announcements from the paddock: Johann Zarco will stay with CASTROL Honda LCR under HRC contract through 2027, Luca Marini will remain with Honda HRC, while Franco Morbidelli continues with Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team for 2026. Over at Pramac Yamaha, Jack Miller has officially extended his stay alongside new teammate Toprak Razgatlioglu.

Jorge Martin Stays with Aprilia
One of the biggest headlines of 2025 has been the ongoing saga surrounding Jorge Martin. After months of speculation, statements, and rumours, the reigning champion has confirmed that he will remain with Aprilia Racing for the 2026 season.
Despite public comments from his manager and Aprilia’s CEO, the Spaniard put the rumours to rest by declaring, “In the end, nothing changes.” With Martin’s seat secured, Aprilia’s lineup remains one of the strongest heading into next year.

Miguel Oliveira’s Next Chapter
After being left without a MotoGP seat, Miguel Oliveira’s future was up in the air. But the Portuguese rider has now found a new challenge, moving to WorldSBK with the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team for 2026. The move marks a fresh start for Oliveira, who brings his Grand Prix experience to the superbike stage.
Toprak’s MotoGP Dream Comes True
Fans’ long-time dream of seeing Toprak Razgatlioglu on MotoGP machinery is finally becoming reality. The Turkish WorldSBK champion will make his long-awaited debut in 2026 with Prima Pramac Yamaha, sparking massive excitement in both MotoGP and WorldSBK circles.
Meanwhile, Nicolo Bulega will continue in WorldSBK with Aruba.it Racing – Ducati, but will also take on an additional role as an official Ducati MotoGP test rider, focusing on preparations for the 2027 rule changes. Ducati’s future lineup looks promising too, with Fermin Aldeguer already showing strong form as their newest rookie at BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP.

All Eyes on 2026
With the final confirmations in, the stage is now set for an explosive 2026 season. The silly season drama may be over, but fans can expect even more fireworks when the lights go out next year.
Pre-season testing dates have already been announced, giving fans their first look at the new line-ups in action before the 2026 season officially begins. But for now, there’s still unfinished business, as the 2025 championship heads toward what promises to be a blockbuster finale.
