Yamaha Motor Europe is excited to announce that Isak Gifting will continue racing with Yamaha and the JK Yamaha Supported MX Team through the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship. The 24-year-old rider from Grycksbo, Sweden, will once again compete in the MXGP premier class aboard the Yamaha YZ450F.

Since moving up to MXGP in 2024, Gifting has shown great progress and determination. One of his best performances came at the MXGP of Czech Republic, where he finished an impressive fifth overall. That result proved his growing speed and confidence against the top riders in the world.

Racing with the JK Yamaha Supported MX Team since 2024 has helped Gifting reach a new level. With strong support from Riccardo and Giuliano Boschi, he has continued to improve his riding and consistency. Even with a few injury challenges, he has shown true resilience and a never-give-up attitude that matches Yamaha’s racing spirit.

As he looks ahead to 2026, Gifting is focused on building from his experience and reaching new goals. His target is to fight inside the top 10 of the MXGP Championship standings and collect more top-five race finishes throughout the season.

Isak Gifting – JK Yamaha Supported MX Team Rider

“It’s nice for me to continue my progress with Yamaha, the same team, same people, same bike, and improve together. It’s a nice environment for me and I think we can create something good together for next year. I have a few personal goals I want to achieve but result wise I’m looking to be top 10 overall in the MXGP Championship Standings and I’d like to have some more results in the top five, if not better than that if everything clicks. So, I’m really looking forward to seeing what next year will bring.”

Alexandre Kowalski – Yamaha Motor Europe Off-Road Racing Manager

“Isak joined the Yamaha Family in 2024, transitioning from MX2 to MXGP with the support of Riccardo and Guiliano Boschi and the JK Yamaha Supported MX team. With their backing, Isak has made remarkable progress and achieved impressive results, which have not gone unnoticed. It makes sense to provide him with more support for the future. Isak has already proven he has the speed of the top riders in MXGP. His incredible fighting spirit and great attitude align perfectly with our values. We are pleased to keep him in blue and look forward to continuing to help him succeed.”

With this renewed partnership, Yamaha Motor Europe and the JK Yamaha Supported MX Team strengthen their mission to support young riders and achieve success in the FIM Motocross World Championship. Fans can look forward to seeing Isak Gifting back on the Yamaha YZ450F when the 2026 MXGP season begins.
