BMW Group Malaysia has officially launched the All-New BMW R 1300 GS Adventure at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, unveiling a bold redefinition of the large adventure motorcycle segment. The new GSA raises the bar for touring motorcycles capable of conquering both road and trail, featuring extensive upgrades in engine performance, design, and technology.
The R 1300 GS Adventure arrives with four distinctive variants set to hit the Malaysian market: Standard (Racing Red), Triple Black, GS Trophy, and the top-tier Option 719 Karakorum. Each version carries the signature bold tank design, now 30 litres in capacity, a significant jump from the 19-litre tank on the standard R 1300 GS, reinforcing its long-distance touring capability.
At the heart of the R 1300 GS Adventure is BMW’s latest 1,300 cc two-cylinder boxer engine, delivering a class-leading 145 hp and 149 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox and shaft final drive. This engine marks it as BMW’s most powerful boxer engine to date.

For added ride versatility, the model is equipped with Riding Modes Pro, expanding beyond the standard Rain, Road, Eco, and Enduro modes to include Dynamic, Dynamic Pro and Enduro Pro. Design refinements include a taller windscreen with added side protection, a reshaped nose and rear frame, and a new seat design for improved comfort and control. Although the aluminium luggage system, including two side cases (37L and 36.5L) and a 37L top box, is sold separately, the overall touring potential of the bike is unmistakable.
BMW has also enhanced the bike’s chassis with EVO-Telelever front and EVO-Paralever rear suspension, further upgraded through Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) for real-time adaptability based on terrain and riding mode. Riders can also expect Adaptive Vehicle Height Control, with the seat height adjustable between 870 mm and 890 mm. The bike weighs in at 269 kg.
The latest GSA iteration introduces several notable upgrades over the previous R 1250 GS Adventure, now offering hand warmers, additional lighting, a keyless system, tire pressure monitoring, Engine Drag Torque Control, Full Integral ABS Pro and Dynamic Cruise Control with brake function as standard equipment.

All variants now come with the comprehensive Riding Assistant package that includes Active Cruise Control (ACC), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Change Warning, Rear End Collision Warning (RECW) and Adaptive Vehicle Height Control.
The Automated Shift Assistant (ASA) remains exclusive to the GSA Triple Black, GS Trophy and Option 719 models, while the standard version retains the Shift Assistant Pro feature. These upgrades demonstrate BMW’s commitment to integrating advanced rider aids and comfort technologies across its adventure motorcycle range.

BMW Motorrad Malaysia has also revealed the estimated pricing details for its new GSA lineup, with three variants available to Malaysian customers. The base Standard model in Racing Red starts at RM150,000, while the Triple Black and GS Trophy versions are priced at RM155,000. The premium Option 719 Karakorum tops the range at RM165,000, all prices exclude insurance.
Every model in the new GSA series comes protected by BMW’s comprehensive three-year unlimited mileage warranty, providing exceptional value for touring enthusiasts.
