The 2025 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup season launches this weekend at Spain’s Circuito de Jerez, where Malaysia’s Hakim Danish (SIC Racing) begins his final campaign in the junior series with championship ambitions.
The 17-year-old returns to a circuit where he claimed a stunning second place in Race 2 last year, part of a breakout 2024 season featuring one victory and three podiums. Jerez’s 4.4km layout – with its 13 corners and 607m front straight – plays to Danish’s strengths in late-braking and corner speed.
With 2026 marking his final year of Moto3 eligibility, SIC Racing has implemented an intensive development program under mentor Zulfahmi Khairuddin. “We’ve rebuilt everything from physical conditioning to race nutrition,” revealed team principal Razlan Razali. “Top three isn’t just a target – it’s mandatory.”
