The Ducati Lenovo Team has officially unveiled its 2025 MotoGP livery at an event in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy, becoming the fourth team to reveal its colours for the upcoming season. The event marked a significant milestone, as eight-time world champion Marc Márquez made his first appearance in the iconic Ducati red alongside three-time champion Francesco Bagnaia.
Dubbed the “Dream Team,” Ducati’s 2025 factory lineup features Bagnaia, who is entering his seventh season with Ducati and fifth in the factory squad, alongside Márquez, who joined Ducati after an impressive debut year with Gresini Racing.
Bagnaia returns to his signature #63 for 2025 after relinquishing the #1 plate, now held by 2024 MotoGP champion Jorge Martin. Reflecting on the previous season, Bagnaia acknowledged the challenges but expressed optimism for the year ahead.
“It will be the fifth season with the Ducati Lenovo Team, and we’ve shown that we are a close-knit working group,” Bagnaia said. “I will return to the track with the number 63 after a hard-fought 2024 season that didn’t give me the title but provided several records. I’ve learned a lot and will approach this season with the same spirit as always. With a strong and competitive new teammate, we can take the bike’s development to even greater heights.”
Meanwhile, Márquez, who joined Ducati Lenovo after a standout season with Gresini Racing, is eager to embrace this new challenge. Despite riding a year-old GP23 bike in 2024, Márquez managed to secure three wins and a third-place finish in the championship standings, which earned him a promotion to Ducati’s factory team.
“I’m really happy to be here, wearing the official colours of the Ducati Lenovo Team. This marks the start of what I consider the most important challenge of my career,” Marquez said.
“My first short-term goal is to enjoy riding because I know that everything else will follow. The working atmosphere here is fantastic, and I can’t wait to ride the Desmosedici GP again. We can have a lot of fun this season.”
The 31-year-old Spaniard replaces Enea Bastianini in the factory team and brings immense experience to the table. Márquez expressed gratitude to Ducati’s leadership and emphasized his determination to fight for podiums, victories, and the championship.
The Ducati Lenovo Team’s preparations for the 2025 season will kick off with official testing at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia from February 5 to 7. Test rider Michele Pirro will participate in the Shakedown Test from January 31 to February 2.
With two world-class riders and the proven performance of Ducati’s Desmosedici GP25, the Bagnaia-Márquez duo positions Ducati Lenovo as a formidable contender for the 2025 MotoGP World Championship. As the season approaches, anticipation builds for what could be a historic year for the Italian manufacturer.
