KTM has unveiled its highly anticipated 2025 1390 Super Adventure R, marking another milestone in its journey toward creating technologically advanced large-displacement adventure motorcycles.

Designed to excel in off-road adventures, the 2025 Super Adventure R boasts cutting-edge features and upgrades tailored for riders who thrive beyond the beaten path.

The new 2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure R showcases a striking new bodywork design complemented by LED lighting, a more compact off-road windshield, and enhanced storage compartments.

KTM has also increased the frame stiffness to deliver improved handling and stability on demanding tracks. Additionally, the standard crash bar has been reinforced with an extra arm toward the engine bracket, ensuring superior protection.

Optimized Suspension for Offroad Excellence

Nevertheless, unlike its sibling models, the 1390 Super Adventure S and S EVO, the R variant is equipped with off-road-optimized suspension. It features a 48 mm WP XPLOR split cartridge fork and a WP XPLOR Progressive Damping System (PDS) shock at the rear, offering superior performance on challenging terrains.

Enhanced Performance with CAMSHIFT Technology

The 1390 Super Adventure R introduces an upgraded 1,350cc engine, delivering a remarkable 171hp at 9,500 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. The innovative CAMSHIFT technology ensures variable-valve timing with dual cam profiles, enhancing performance across all RPM ranges.

This breakthrough improves rideability on tight trails and boosts power delivery for high-speed adventures, all while meeting Euro 5+ emissions standards.

State-of-the-Art Electronics and Connectivity

The 2025 KTM Super Adventure R also comes equipped with an advanced electronics suite, highlighted by a new 8-inch vertically mounted touchscreen display. Designed for optimal clarity, the screen features anti-glare, anti-fingerprint, and anti-reflex coatings.

The intuitive interface offers seamless access to enhanced ‘RIDE MODES’, integrated navigation, and connectivity options, allowing riders to personalize their experience with ease.

A standout feature is the Custom Mode functionality, enabling riders to duplicate an existing mode and tweak it to their preferences. For instance, a Street Mode can be tailored for solo rides or adapted for travelling with a passenger.

This flexibility is especially beneficial for those seeking precise control on tracks or rugged off-road terrains. With three available Custom Modes, riders can achieve maximum adjustability, ensuring all ride modes are fully customizable to suit various scenarios.

Off-Road-Ready with Comfortable Ergonomic Design

The reworked seat design prioritizes rider comfort and safety, addressing issues such as snagging while mounting or dismounting. The adjustable seat mechanism allows for precise height and position settings, ensuring all-day riding comfort.

Apart from that, the 1390 Super Adventure R is fitted with Dunlop Trailma Meridian tyres, designed to excel on gravel and unpaved roads while providing optimal water drainage. The bike also features KTM’s updated Brembo front master cylinder for improved braking performance.

Availability and Anticipation

The 2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure R will begin production next year in Austria, but North American enthusiasts may have to wait, as the model will first launch in Europe for at least a year. Pricing details are yet to be announced, leaving fans eagerly awaiting more updates.

KTM’s new 1390 Super Adventure R sets a new benchmark for off-road capability, blending technological sophistication with rugged performance, and solidifying its place as the ultimate adventure companion for 2025.
