Boon Siew Honda has officially unveiled the Honda Vario 125 Street for the Malaysian market, marking the model’s first appearance locally. Priced at RM7,468, excluding road tax, insurance and registration, the scooter is offered in two colour options; Purple and White and comes with a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.
The Vario 125 Street was previewed to the media at a dedicated pop-up experience store at REXKL, where it showcased a fresh approach to urban mobility with a stronger emphasis on street-inspired design and practicality.
For 2026, the Vario 125 Street receives several updates to improve efficiency and handling. The redesigned swingarm is now 10% lighter, while the engine’s L-cover and duct have been reduced in weight by 11%, contributing to overall performance improvements.

Lighting has also been upgraded, with full LED units now standard. The new headlight offers a 10% longer high-beam throw, while the rear features a distinctive V-shaped tail light design. Adding to its modern appeal is a naked handlebar setup paired with a floating digital speedometer, inspired by adventure-style scooters.
Powering the scooter is a 125cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 11.5 hp at 8,500 rpm and 11.74 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a CVT transmission and is certified as an Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) with a three-star rating under the Malaysia Motorcycle Assessment Program (MyMAP).
Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable rear shock absorber. Braking consists of a front hydraulic disc and rear drum setup, supported by a combined braking system and parking brake lock.

In terms of convenience, the Vario 125 Street comes equipped with a smart key system, USB charging port and an 18-litre under-seat storage compartment. The scooter weighs 113 kg, carries 5.5 litres of fuel and has a seat height of 769 mm, making it accessible for a wide range of riders.
Adding a creative touch, Honda has collaborated with local graffiti artist Katun, who designed an exclusive custom cover set for the Vario 125 Street. The design reflects a youthful and urban lifestyle aesthetic and was showcased during the launch event.
As part of the promotion, the first 50 customers who register will have a chance to receive exclusive merchandise, including Katun-designed T-shirts or stickers.
The Honda Vario 125 Street is expected to arrive at authorised Honda dealer showrooms nationwide starting May 2026, further expanding Honda’s urban scooter lineup in Malaysia.
