MODENAS, a subsidiary of DRB-Hicom Berhad (KLSE:DRBHCOM), has introduced a new logo and brand identity. This launch highlights MODENAS’s commitment to expanding globally, advancing technology, and promoting sustainable practices.

The updated logo features a modern twist on the iconic MODENAS “M” symbol. Encased in a circle, the design represents precision and a new chapter for the brand. The logo maintains its classic blue and white colors but now includes a grey and platinum variant. A new Road Star Element underscores MODENAS’s leadership, adaptability, and growth.

Tan Sri Syed Faisal Albar, Group Chairman of MODENAS and Group Managing Director of DRB-Hicom Berhad, launched the new brand. Faizal Mohd Yusof, Senior Director of Industry and Development at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Azrul Reza Aziz, CEO of the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), and Roslan Roskan, CEO of MODENAS, attended the event.

Roslan Roskan commented on the rebranding, “MODENAS embodies a Malaysian legacy. We’ve built a strong base in Malaysia, but our vision reaches further. As the mobility industry evolves with energy transitions and environmental concerns, our refreshed vision aims to connect people and communities globally with value, technology, and sustainable products.”

To mark this milestone, MODENAS introduced an upgraded, eco-friendly KRISS 110 model. This variant meets the stringent Euro 4 emissions standards, demonstrating MODENAS’s dedication to sustainability and global environmental regulations. This initiative reflects MODENAS’s commitment to developing more eco-friendly models in the future.

Honoring the Past and Embracing the Future

MODENAS has formed strategic partnerships with global manufacturers like Kawasaki Motors Ltd., Kwang Yang Motor Co., Ltd (Kymco), and Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL). These collaborations have enabled MODENAS to enter international markets, including Greece, South America, Russia, Thailand, and China, with the locally assembled Kawasaki ZX-6R. MODENAS is also advancing its eco-friendly goals, evidenced by supplying MEV-1 electric motorcycles to Pos Malaysia since 2023, supporting the courier’s net zero mission.

MODENAS, while proudly Malaysian, is embracing a global perspective. Driven by a commitment to innovation, boundary-breaking, and industry-leading standards, MODENAS is shaping the future of motorcycles. Roslan Roskan emphasized, “As we move forward, we honor our roots and welcome the future. This new direction transforms our culture and operations, focusing on inclusivity, sustainability, and global collaboration. We are committed to building on our legacy and advancing the motorcycle industry.”
