This morning, the Malaysian team confirmed Dixon at the Aragon GP alongside Valentino Rossi. Silverstone was the site of the #96’s first contact with a MotoGP bike. However, he still finished in 19th position, more than half a minute behind its closest rival, Valentino Rossi.
Razlan Razali, manager of Petronas Yamaha SRT, said: ‘ The current dynamic status of the team allows us to have some exciting opportunities for our riders as well as new talent. We were pleased with Jake’s MotoGP debut at the GP of Great Britain, so we want to give him the opportunity to continue his MotoGP learning in Aragon .’
