Jake Dixon will be on Franco Morbidelli’s bike at Silverstone

Earlier this week, the official announcement came: Jake Dixon would make his MotoGP debut at the GP of Great Britain. He will replace Franco Morbidelli, who is still recovering from surgery he had in June.

The British rider will compete on a Yamaha YZR-M1, which was used by Cal Crutchlow in Spielberg. He will race at home between August 27th and 29th. Petronas Sprinta Racing will soon announce Dixon’s replacement for this British race, where he will team up with Xavi Vierge in Moto2. Cal Crutchlow will ride Maverick Viñales’ bike after the Spaniard and Yamaha have officially ended their bond.
