Based on the KYMCO X-Town 300i, the Modenas Elegan 250 has been one of the go-to 250cc scooters in the Malaysian market. With the introduction of the new Modenas Elegan 250 ABS, things just get even better for scooter and Modenas fans in Malaysia.

The new Elegan 250 ABS gets a few updates.  The front fascia has been updated with a headlamp unit which now encloses twin projector headlights and DRLS. Apart from this design change, the fairings, X- shaped rear taillight and the 2 level seat remain similar to ones found on the ongoing Elegan 250.

On the other hand, the new Elegan 250 ABS gets a few modern tech updates. This includes an updated modern 3 part speedometer, USB charging socket, as well as a new inbuilt LED light within the storage compartment.

One of the most notable features that the new Modenas Elegan 250 attains is the BOSCH dual-channel ABS system. Braking duties are done via a 260mm disc with 2 pot calliper up front and a 240mm disc at the rear. In the case of suspension, telescopic front fork and twin-shock at the rear take care of suspension duties.

As for the powerplant, the 2020 Modenas Elegan 250 features a liquid-cooled 249.1cc single-cylinder 4 stroke engine.  Mated to a CVT, the 2020 Elegan 250 ABS pushes 22.1 hp @ 7,000 rpm and 22.4 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm.

Options and Pricing

The 2020 Modenas Elegan 250 comes in two colours, namely: Satin Matte Red and Satin Matte Black. The price? In Malaysia, the 2020 Modenas Elegan 250 ABS is priced at RM 15,315 excluding road tax, insurance and registration fee.
