Honda reveals all-new street-legal 2019 CRF450L

Bike enthusiasts everywhere gather around and rejoice as the 2019 CRF450L has now made its way to dealerships all around the world this month in September 2018! Honda previously announced that it would produce a street-legal version of the CRF450L and this time it has made that plan into reality. Fans everywhere made the CRF250L and CRF250L Rally quite popular but it was the larger off-road counterpart that made it to the streets.

The new CF450L is built around the CRF450R’s rigid, twin-spar aluminum frame. The subframe has been redesigned with an aluminum license plate holder. It comes with a premium titanium fuel tank and is suited with a lithium-ion battery to further reduce its weight.

The bike features a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, four-valve Unicam 449cc thumper (designated the PD11E) featuring PGM-FI, a 46mm downdraft throttle body, and an electric starter. The crank has been inertia-tuned differently from the CRF450R in order to produce smoother power delivery. It is capable of producing an output of 24 PS at 7,500 rpm and 32 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. The PD11E engine is mated to a six-speed transmission with a wet multi-plate clutch and a 520 chain final drive.

The 2019 Honda CRF450L also comes with LED lighting and an LCD display incorporating the speedometer, odometer, tripmeters, a digital clock, and a fuel mileage meter for planning gas stops. Not to mention it has a ground clearance of 299 mm, a seat height of 895 mm, a fuel capacity of 7.6 L, and weighs 131 kg.
