Malaysia’s young racing prodigy, Qabil Irfan Azlan, has clinched the overall title in the 190cc category of the FIM MiniGP Malaysia Series 2025 with one round to spare, maintaining a flawless record of eight straight wins this season.

The 13-year-old from Terengganu once again showcased his dominance at Round 4 of the championship at the LYL International Karting Circuit, sweeping victories in both races to secure the maximum 200 points. The result mathematically sealed the title before the final round, ensuring his automatic qualification to represent Malaysia at the MiniGP World Series Final in Valencia, Spain, later this year.

“This season has been special because I’ve managed to keep my performance consistent from the very first race. This title is the result of the hard work of my team, family, sponsors, and everyone who has supported me.

I’ll keep working hard, especially in preparation for Valencia, where the competition will be tougher. I must give my absolute best,” said Qabil, who also won the same category in 2024.

This victory adds to Qabil’s growing collection of titles, including the 160cc crown in 2022 and 2023, as well as the SIC Ohvale Junior Championship 110cc and SIC MiniGP Championship in 2021.

The battle for the remaining two spots to Valencia in the 190cc class will be decided in the final round at RUD Karting Sepang on 11–12 October 2025, with Qayim Razin (124 points), Adam Aiman (123 points), and Malek Ridha (112 points) still in contention.

FIM MiniGP 160cc: Title Fight Goes Down to the Wire

The championship fight in the 160cc category is set for a nail-biting finale, with just two points separating the top contenders. Al-Adam Mikail leads with 158 points after winning Race 2 at Round 4, closing the gap to Qasha Irfan Azlan, who has 156 points.

Qasha endured a difficult weekend after crashing out in Race 1 and scoring no points, but recovered in Race 2 despite battling brake issues.

“I started aggressively, but a brake problem near the end forced me to rely solely on the front brake and I almost collided with the rider ahead. I’m thankful to finish and I’ll come back stronger in Sepang,” said Qasha.

Race 1 was a breakthrough moment for Terengganu’s Daniel Syazwan, who claimed his first win of the season, followed by fellow Terengganu rider Aryan Mikhail in second and Kelantan’s Nufay Darwisy in third.

The Sepang finale in October will decide the 2025 champion, setting up an intense duel between two of Malaysia’s brightest young MiniGP talents.

SIC Ohvale Junior Championship: Wet-Weather Drama and Redemption

The latest round of the SIC Ohvale Junior Championship delivered two different winners in thrilling conditions, including a rain-soaked opener and a redemption ride.

Race 1, held in heavy rain, saw Negeri Sembilan’s Akid Darwisy triumph with a time of 16:18.664. Starting from third on the grid, Akid played a patient game as the two front-runners crashed mid-race. After a brief challenge from Indonesia’s Arby Thoriq and a close fight with Sabah’s Abdurrahman Izzuwandi, Akid seized the lead in the final laps. Abdurrahman finished second, with Arby third.

Race 2 belonged to Selangor’s Firash Naufal, who bounced back from a Race 1 crash to control proceedings from start to finish, claiming his first win of the round. Arby once again showed consistency with another second place, while Negeri Sembilan’s Ziqry Rayyan completed the podium.

The standings are now led by Arby (145 points), followed by Firash (125 points) and Ziqry (100 points), leaving Arby in prime position to seal the championship in Sepang.

RCB MiniMoto Championship: Fayyad Anaqi Wraps Up Title Early

In the RCB MiniMoto Championship, Selangor’s Fayyad Anaqi, just 9 years old, secured the overall crown with 135 points despite finishing only third in Race 2. Fayyad, who will graduate to the 110cc category next season, is determined to end the year with double wins at Sepang.

“I’m happy to finish on the podium today, but starting from ninth on the grid made it tough to win. Still, I’m proud to secure the title early,” said Fayyad.

Race 1 went to Selangor’s Adam Haris, with Faith Mikael second and 6-year-old Ayden Maleeq third. In Race 2, Faith took the win ahead of Ayden, with Fayyad in third.
