Hells Angels stick with Harley-Davidson

Hells Angels stick with Harley-Davidson

The Trade War between United States and the European Union continues to affect the motorcycle industry in many ways, and with Harley-Davidson announcing they would move part of the production away from the US, some people questioned what would happen to Hells Angels.

The notorious biker gang is clearly associated with Harley, and in the wake of the decision to move production to Brazil, India or Thailand, some thought Hells Angels could turn their back on the American manufacturer, all because one of their rules states that all riders must ride an American-made motorcycle.

Motorcycles produced outside the United States would be forbidden for Hells Angels members, but in an interview with Canadian newspaper Toronto Star, representatives from the gang’s Canadian branch said that “Harley-Davidson is making a statement to the Trump Administration,” said Hells Angels B.C. spokesperson Rick Ciarnello. “I don’t think their decision will impact our club in any way. Harley-Davidson motorcycles will still be available, no matter where the parts are made or assembled”.

We still need to wait to understand exactly what is going to happen with Harley-Davidson’s decision to move production away from the United States, but it seems that some of their most known clients will stick with them.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
