Hakim Danish wrapped up his Moto3 World Championship campaign on a high note, delivering an excellent ride to finish 14th at the 2025 ValencianGP. The 18-year-old Malaysian, racing for the FRINSA – MT Helmets – MSI team, earned two valuable points after a determined charge through the field from 18th on the grid.

Impressive Race Craft From P18 to P14

Starting from P18, Hakim showed maturity and resilience throughout the 20-lap battle at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit. As the race unfolded, he mounted consistent attacks.. He overtook several riders while maintaining a strong pace to secure a top-14 finish.

The result capped a rewarding weekend for the young Malaysian talent, who initially struggled in the cold practice conditions. Those early sessions placed him in Qualifying 1 (Q1), where he was nearly five seconds off the leading times. But Hakim responded brilliantly. With a 1:37.791s lap, he became one of the four fastest riders to progress into Q2, ultimately earning a sixth-row start.

A Promising Stand-In With Big Potential

Hakim was called up as a replacement for Japanese rider Ryusei Yamanaka for the final two rounds of the season. He managed to seize the opportunity with maturity and skill. His debut at the PortugueseGP saw him finish an impressive 12th, collecting four points. Combined with his two points from Valencia, he ends the championship in 31st place with six points—despite contesting only three Moto3 races.

These performances not only underline his potential but also provide a valuable foundation as he prepares for a full season with the MSI Racing Team in 2026.

A Valuable Learning Curve Before JuniorGP

Reflecting on his race, Hakim highlighted both the difficulty and growth experienced over the weekend:

“I started from P18 and pushed hard to overtake as many riders as possible. The early laps were tough because everyone in front was very fast, so I had to take more risks. I’m happy to finish 14th.”

He also noted the improvement made throughout the weekend:

“On the first day, I was five seconds off the pace, but session by session I improved. I’ll use what I learned here and in Portimao for next week’s JuniorGP race. I’ll stay motivated and give my best.”

Hakim expressed gratitude to his team and acknowledged the challenges:

“Early in the weekend, especially in Valencia, I felt really uncomfortable. But the team never gave up on me, and I didn’t give up either. We analysed the data and worked on the bike setup. This result isn’t exactly what I wanted, but I’ll keep working hard for next year.”

Momentum Building for 2026

With two point-scoring finishes in three Moto3 appearances, Hakim Danish has proven that he belongs at a world-championship level. His steady progression, strong determination, and ability to bounce back from setbacks mark him as one of Malaysia’s most exciting young prospects.

As he turns his attention to JuniorGP next week and ultimately a full Moto3 season in 2026, Hakim carries valuable experience, renewed confidence, and clear momentum into the next chapter of his career.
