After more than two years of anticipation, Buell Motorcycle Co. has officially taken the Super Cruiser from concept sketch to production reality. The first completed bike, VIN 0001, rolled off the line on September 26, 2025, marking a milestone for the reborn American manufacturer.
From Concept to Reality
First revealed in February 2023, the Super Cruiser quickly became one of the most talked-about Buell designs in recent memory. Its bold blend of performance muscle and cruiser attitude struck a chord with riders eager for something distinctively American yet unapologetically modern. Now, that vision has materialised almost unchanged, staying true to the original concept’s design and intent.
VIN 0001 Heads to the Museum
Buell isn’t just producing motorcycles; they’re preserving history. The first production Super Cruiser will go on public display from October 3–5, 2025, at the Barber Motorsports Museum during the Barber Vintage Festival. Once final federal certifications are completed, VIN 0001 will be permanently dedicated to the museum’s collection, solidifying its place in motorcycle heritage.
Built by Hand, Built with Purpose
The company is also choosing a careful production strategy. Instead of rushing to meet demand, Buell is scaling slowly and deliberately, ensuring quality control and long-term sustainability.
The production Super Cruiser carries serious performance credentials:
- Fox suspension package
- Brembo dual-disc brakes
- Dunlop SportMax Q5A tires
Buell designed the bike for adaptability, letting riders personalise and accessorise it to match their own style.
Customer deliveries will begin once final certifications are secured, with order holders expected to be contacted within the next two to four months to finalise financing and delivery arrangements.
A New Chapter for Buell
The Super Cruiser’s journey from concept to production is more than just another model launch; it’s a statement of intent from Buell. By staying true to the design that sparked so much excitement in 2023 and executing a careful rollout, the brand is aiming to balance artistry, performance, and sustainability as it re-establishes itself in the global motorcycle scene.
The Super Cruiser is no longer just a concept; it’s a piece of Buell history you can ride.
