MotoGP replicas for the road are rare gems. Ducati once gave fans the Desmosedici RR in 2006, and Honda followed with the RC213V-S in 2015. But KTM, despite its strong MotoGP presence, has never officially released a road-going RC16 replica.
That didn’t stop Jonathan Bello, a KTM superfan and content creator from the USA, from taking matters into his own hands. According to Crash.net, Bello has 3D printed full bodywork for his KTM 1390 Super Duke, reshaping the naked beast into something that closely resembles the RC16 MotoGP machine.
The custom build features MotoGP-style aerodynamic wings and a wide front air intake, mimicking the RC16’s aggressive look. Underneath, however, the bike remains a 1390 Super Duke, meaning the chassis, fuel tank, and wheel designs still reveal its true identity.

Bello has dubbed the project “Project RC16” for now and has asked his online followers to help him choose an official name. While the bike hasn’t made its track debut yet, Bello is a racer in the PanAmerican Superbike series, so it’s only a matter of time before the custom creation sees action.
KTM entered MotoGP as a full factory effort in 2017 after years of success in junior categories. By 2018, they had already scored their first premier-class podium, and in 2020, the brand celebrated three victories, Brad Binder taking one and Miguel Oliveira two.
The Austrian manufacturer has had a challenging 2025 season so far, navigating financial struggles and new majority ownership by Bajaj Auto. Despite the hurdles, KTM remains competitive, with Pedro Acosta currently fifth in the MotoGP standings after reclaiming podium form in recent races.
While KTM may not have produced a Desmosedici RR-style road replica yet, Bello’s 3D-printed RC16 project proves that fans can bring their MotoGP dreams to life, with one layer of filament at a time and most importantly, passion!
