To reacquaint himself with race pace and sharpen up ahead of a crucial second half of the season.

“The best way to improve further is to ride,” Marini said. “This weekend is mostly about getting back into the rhythm to end the season well.”

The Sachsenring, at just 3.67 km, is the shortest and one of the most demanding tracks on the calendar, featuring a relentless series of 13 corners over 30 laps. Unlike the high-speed thrillers of Mugello and Assen, this German circuit calls for razor-sharp handling and maximum tyre grip—an ideal proving ground for evaluating the full range of Honda’s 2025 package.

For Joan Mir, the upcoming weekend represents a new opportunity to build on his recent progress. Despite a crash in Assen, the Spaniard has shown determination and work ethic in his efforts to steer Honda back into contention. “We now focus on the weekends in Germany and Brno,” Mir noted. “Sachsenring is really different from Mugello and Assen—less about high speed and more about grip and technical riding.”
