Triumph has recently introduced its latest addition to the Tiger range, the Tiger Sport 800, which replaces the outgoing Tiger 850 Sport. Borrowing design cues from the Tiger Sport 660, this new model aims to offer a balance of performance and touring capabilities.

At the heart of the Tiger Sport 800 is a brand-new 800cc triple engine, delivering 113.4 hp at 10,750 rpm and a peak torque of 84 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The engine is designed for strong mid-range power, with 90% of its torque available across a broad rev range, making it responsive for both daily rides and long-distance touring.

Power is transmitted through a 6-speed manual transmission with a standard quickshifter (Triumph Shift Assist) and an assist/slipper clutch for smoother gear shifts.

The motorcycle is equipped with a variety of advanced riding aids, including Bosch multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection with electronic throttle control, offering three riding modes—Road, Rain, and Sport.

It also features Optimised Cornering ABS and switchable traction control. For added rider comfort, the bike comes with an adjustable windscreen and a seat height of 835mm, making it suitable for riders of different sizes, particularly those who enjoy touring.

In terms of handling, the Triumph Tiger Sport 800 comes equipped with Showa 41mm adjustable upside-down forks at the front and a Showa monoshock at the rear, offering 150mm of suspension travel for a smooth and controlled ride.

The braking system features 4-piston radial callipers on twin 310mm front discs and a 1-piston calliper with a 255mm disc at the rear. Michelin Road 5 tyres come standard, providing excellent grip in various road conditions.

Additional features include cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, and the My Triumph Connectivity System, which enables turn-by-turn navigation, phone, and music controls via the TFT-LCD instrument panel.

Weighing in at 214 kg with a fuel capacity of 18.6L, the Tiger Sport 800 is available in four colour options: Sapphire Black, Graphite, Cosmic Yellow, and Caspian Blue.

As per the Triumph Malaysia website, the pricing details are expected to be announced soon, but in the UK, the starting price is listed at £10,995 (approximately RM62,030).

With a combination of performance and touring-friendly features, the Tiger Sport 800 is set to attract riders looking for an all-rounder with modern tech and classic Tiger styling.
