MotoGP is set to celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2024 with a spectacular celebration at the Monster Energy British Grand Prix. For the first time in the sport’s history, every bike and rider on the grid will don a special, one-off livery with a retro aesthetic at Silverstone.
Drawing inspiration from various eras in their distinctive histories, the 11 teams on the grid—including the five factory teams—will each showcase a unique vintage paint scheme. Fans will also have the opportunity to witness the unveiling of these special editions live during the Day of Champions pitlane walk on Thursday at the British GP.
The celebration extends beyond the bikes, with many of MotoGP’s partners joining in the retro theme. The BMW M Safety Car, podium celebrations, and vintage exhibitions will all embrace the nostalgic atmosphere.
The retro celebration will be broadcast, featuring a one-hour MotoGP 75th Anniversary Special program showcasing the styles and colours of each team before they take to the track.
Tune in to the Monster Energy British Grand Prix from the 2nd to the 4th of August as MotoGP returns after the summer break for the second half of a historic season, rolling out in vintage style for a thoroughly modern spectacle.
