Toby Price secured a thrilling victory at the 2023 Rallye du Maroc, finishing just four points short of the championship title.
He expertly navigated the iconic Moroccan Sahara Desert, clinching a commendable second place overall.
Throughout this year’s Rallye du Maroc, Toby Price displayed unwavering consistency and sealed his win with a three-minute lead.
However, he had to settle for the runner-up position in the championship, with Luciano Benavides taking the title.
In 2023, Price faced both triumph and adversity. He secured second place at the Dakar Rally, missing the top spot by just 44 seconds.
He also took the world championship lead with a third-place finish at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge but faced a setback due to a technical issue at the Desafio Ruta 40.
Despite narrowly missing the championship, Price remained content with his consistent performances. He now looks ahead to the 2024 Dakar Rally, where he aims for his third victory in the world’s toughest rally-raid.
Toby Price expressed his feelings after the race, saying, “It was a good stage! I had a small mishap, but I’m happy to have won in Morocco. While the championship eluded us this season, I gave my all and never gave up.
Now, I’ll rest a bit and look forward to the Dakar in January. It’ll be tough, but I’m feeling good, and I’ll do my best as always.”
