PFMoto (Paifang Moto), a motorcycle manufacturer from China under the umbrella of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Geely) made the headlines when it shared a low-resolution photo of a touring motorcycle sketch in 2022.
At that time, the majority of motorcycle enthusiasts thought that PFMoto was just another Chinese manufacturer that was just sharing prototype photos. This led to the assumption that PFMoto would not be a commercial brand with models to offer.
The Chinese manufacturer has introduced its all-new Starship 6 for 2023 which borrows some styling cues from the popular Honda Gold Wing.
However, PFMoto denied that negative impression by introducing its new Starship 6. The model is a Honda Gold Wing-style touring model, but smaller in size.
The PFMoto Starship 6 comes with a side luggage box that is similar to the Honda Gold Wing. The Chinese model also has an upper storage box behind the pillion saddle.
The model also features a large wind visor, low saddle and handlebars in a cruiser position. With the position of the handlebars, riders can have a more relaxed long-distance journey.
Instead of a powerful powertrain, PFMoto has opted for a smaller V-Twin 573cc liquid-cooled engine for the Starship 6. With fuel injection (FI) technology, the engine is capable of generating 60hp and 55Nm.
The 280kg motorcycle comes with some interesting features like an electrically adjustable wind visor, a full-colour TFT meter panel. Riders can connect their phones via Bluetooth. So far there is no official information about the price.
